Batumi is a city, which easily makes visitors, fall in love with it, with its unique blend of subtropical coastline climate framed with rich green mountains and a legendary nightlife. The health giving qualities of this combination of sea and mountain air is renowned and one reason why some of Georgia can boast twice the world average of centenarians. The scent of a white Magnolia blossom, sitting over the green leaves like a white swan, fills Batumi night with peculiar mystery. Throughout Batumi you'll also enjoy many entertainment possibilities sport competitions like Polo, tennis and Georgian wrestling, as well as singing and dancing performances. The local polyphonic songs are considered masterpieces by some of the world's top musicians and composers. The above mentioned songs and dances are annually performed at such folk festivals as "Shuamtoba" (first weekend in August, Alpine zone of Adjara highlands), "Colkhoba" (August, coastal village of Sarpi), "Tbeloba" (late September, the village of Khikhadziri, dedicated to the medieval philosopher and astrologer Tbel Abuserisdze). Not to be missed is a yacht tour to the astonishing remote peninsula called Tsikhisdziri, meet wild nature and get a pleasure from a beautiful view on the beach.
